Sunday October 22ND, 2023 Morning view from Corozal

Sundays are always slow in Corozal, because on Sunday everyone takes a day-off. For people who work during the week in Corozal town. Sundays are always a day when everyone finds a place to relax, or, go enjoy their Sunday on the beach.

The water was very calm, on Sunday morning October 22ND, 2023. It looked transparent, aqua blue color.

People were swimming inside the water on Sunday having a fun time.  Even the water was very low.

Let me take you back a few weeks ago, about the paving and upgrading about the road located on 1ST Avenue. On the last blog about the road I posted a picture about it being upgraded.

On Saturday October 21ST, 2023, workers came out to pave the second coat of the road which is located on 1st Avenue. It took all day for them to pave the second coat of the road. Big machines trucks rolled up the road, swept the road, they put asphalt until it finished.  The road became very sticky, because of the fresh asphalt from yesterday's paving. They will leave it for one month. Then, they will come back and finish paving it.

When I went to take pictures on Sunday October 22ND, 2023, It still smells like fresh asphalt on the road. We advise the public of Corozal to be aware of the upgrading on 1ST Avenue.

You know, Belize has various birds flying around Belize. I was excited, to have seen the Great Egrey bird on the water. It had beautiful white feathers. The bird was feeding on the water. If you haven't seen it as yet, check out the picture below.

As I approached, the seawall, on 1ST Avenue, I noticed a lizard just hanging out there and enjoying the weather.

Masala Park is located on 1ST Avenue Corozal. This is the only park that has cemented, board games for kids to play. They, can also come play on the swings, slides and sit down on the chairs. It is open to the public 24HR a day.

Then, I visited Las Villitas Del Mar located on 2ND Street North. Visitin Spanish Lookout, cayo, Belize

Spanish Lookout, Cayo, Belize: Mennonites and Well...Just Odd ... Spanish Lookout is a large, modern, agricultural Mennonite community in the Cayo District of Belize, known for its progressive farming and light industry. The community, whose members primarily speak Plautdietsch, uses modern technology like cars and computers, but they maintain their traditional culture, evident in their well-organized farms and traditional dress. Spanish Lookout is a significant agricultural hub in Belize, producing crops, dairy products, and poultry, and it is the location of the country's only oil field.   Key aspects of Spanish Lookout: Mennonite Community: Despite its name, Spanish Lookout is a Mennonite settlement that began in 1958 when immigrants arrived from Mexico.  Modernity: Unlike many other Mennonite communities, residents of Spanish Lookout use modern conveniences, including electricity, computers, and cars.  Agriculture: The community is a major agricultural center, wi...
